Novelglue Novelglue

Novelglue

Bio-adhesive engineered for wet environments

Novelglue is a functional adhesive protein built on a recombinant mussel foot protein. It delivers 63 kPa wet tensile strength and supports a cassette architecture for swapping in functional domains.

Three Differentiators

A position
no other
product holds.

Animal-free, EGF active, and wet-adhesive. No competitor combines all three.

01

Animal-free recombinant technology

Unlike Matrigel™ (mouse EHS sarcoma) or CellTak™ (natural mussel extract), Novelglue is produced by recombinant expression, delivering consistent lot-to-lot quality.

02

Cassette adhesive technology

The FP2 domain is designed as a swappable cassette: EGF, growth factors, targeting peptides and other functional domains can be fused in to derive diverse products from a single platform.

03

High wet-environment adhesion

Delivers 63 kPa tensile strength under wet conditions — roughly 30× fibrin glue.
